Heineken Cube

How do you drink your beer? From a beer mug? Straight from the can? Or do you drink it cold, taking a swig right off the bottle? Ever pictured yourself taking a drink from a square bottle?

Well, if it were up to Heineken and Petit Romain, you would be doing that sometime in the future. The French industrial designer has just revealed his concept of a Heineken bottle. Foregoing the usual round bottles with long and narrow necks, this one has a square shape and is aptly named “Heineken Cube”. (more…)

The Booleanos Chest of Drawers by Joel Escalona

A chest of drawers and a centerpiece. Interior decorating doesn’t get any better than this.

Boolean logic would dictate sets of relationships where even unexpected bits and pieces could be combined and form a cohesive whole until such time that it actually makes sense. Photostudio Staudinger Franke invented and brought to life an advertising campaign for children with bullous epidermolysis, a rare skin disease. It is a genetic disease in which the skin blisters are formed even at an insignificant it is damaged or friction. With the help of promotional photos, you can try to imagine how difficult it is for children to live with this disease.

Rare gems

On May 22 to 24, an exhibition of the most luxurious and rare pieces from Swiss jewelry house Bogh-Art took place in Moscow, specifically at the Center for Fine Arts at Volhonke. This is mostly thanks to the efforts of Bogh-Art founder and rare gems specialist Albert Bogossyanom. Take a look at some of the rare pieces on display at the Center.
