Who doesn’t love dogs?

Well… some. But most people could not help but fall for these cutie canines, especially when photographed creatively. The internet certainly allowed the pet lovers in all of us to have another – and wider – venue to share our love for our dogs. It is no longer an uncommon sight to see dog owners post photos of their “best friends” in various sites online. There are some, however, who take this a step further. Pythagorean cup, also known as the Pythagorean Glass, Fair Cup and Pythagoras Cup. The Pythagorean cup is a form of drinking cup, which is a deep sense of control measures of a drink.

Tradition says Pythagoras, during water supply works in the island of Samos, around 530 b.C. moderated the workers’ wine drinking by the inventing the “fare cup”. When the wine surpasses the line, the cup totally empties, so the greedy one is punished.

The Apophis Flash Drive by Zana Design

In ancient Egyptian mythology, there is an evil demon that embodies pure darkness and chaos. It is named Apepi or, in Greek, Apophis. Now perhaps you’re wondering why a USB flash drive would be named after a demon god. Well, it’s not. This flash drive is actually named after the near-earth asteroid 99942 Apophis. With a width of 390 meters, this asteroid, which first manifested itself in December 2004, shows signs of colliding with Earth on April 13, 2036. Very Doomsday-ish, but there is no denying that it has an impact, literally and figuratively. As is the design of this unique USB flash drive.

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. Detail.MGX Chandelier by Materialise

Artists would like to leave a mark in any way they can, and what better way than to do it literally and figuratively?

Designer Dan Yeffet of MGX by Materialise, the design division of Materialise N.V, came up with the idea of using a fingerprint pattern on round lighting fixtures. The result: the Detail.MGX Chandelier and the Detail.MGX Pendant Lamp. (more…)
