From car-maker giant Mazda comes the MX-5 derived concept known as the Mazda “Superlite”. In collaboration with the Cologne, Germany-based design studio Motorcity Europe, the automotive manufacture from Hiroshima, Japan came out with this “celebratory” racer. At first glance, it does look funny, but the functionality of this floor lamp is anything but laughable.

Vladimir Tomilov is the creative mind behind the “Octopussy”, a floor lamp with ‘tentacles’ for legs and a ‘giant eye’ for light. Faces in Places has to look at the routine from a different angle and see the “face” of any subject.

Look closely – they are everywhere! All the objects around us have their faces: the float, a piece of unfinished pizza and slippers, the roof, a box for letters, even a trash can. A bit of observation, a little imagination – and now you can see that all things have their own face around. Very fun and entertaining project must capture the imagination and make you look more closely to what is on the desktop, in the kitchen or outdoors. (more…)

“Aggelon Gi”, in Greek, means “Angels’ Land”. It also happens to be the name of the Winery Estate that has just recently launched a series of premium wines.

Aggelon Gi Estates’ latest contribution to wine serves as a symbol of hope and a ray of light in the otherwise bleak and dreary setting that has been the norm of late, no thanks to the crisis that the entire country is still battling with even now. Angels have always represented purity and hope, and that seems to be the starting point of Sophia Georgopoulou’s design concept for its branding, labels, and packaging.  (more…)
