Well, various designers took that concept quite literally, coming up with bookends that represent both the function of said items, and the passion one finds in books. The Booleanos Chest of Drawers by Joel Escalona

A chest of drawers and a centerpiece. Interior decorating doesn’t get any better than this.

Boolean logic would dictate sets of relationships where even unexpected bits and pieces could be combined and form a cohesive whole until such time that it actually makes sense.
