The internet certainly allowed the pet lovers in all of us to have another – and wider – venue to share our love for our dogs. It is no longer an uncommon sight to see dog owners post photos of their “best friends” in various sites online. There are some, however, who take this a step further. How do you drink your beer? From a beer mug? Straight from the can? Or do you drink it cold, taking a swig right off the bottle? Ever pictured yourself taking a drink from a square bottle?

Well, if it were up to Heineken and Petit Romain, you would be doing that sometime in the future. The French industrial designer has just revealed his concept of a Heineken bottle. Foregoing the usual round bottles with long and narrow necks, this one has a square shape and is aptly named “Heineken Cube”. (more…)

Spaceport America

The future is now! Soon the phrase from the sci-fi movie “flipnut to the spaceport,” becomes a reality. At least the second part of mankind has provided. In October, an official opening ceremony of the spaceport, “America,” the world’s first commercial site for private space flight. Spaceport was opened in the desert of New Mexico. The project was implemented in English Office Foster and Partners. Starport includes a waiting room and flight training, hangar and control tower. Also provided a runway length of three kilometers.

“Aggelon Gi”, in Greek, means “Angels’ Land”. It also happens to be the name of the Winery Estate that has just recently launched a series of premium wines.

Aggelon Gi Estates’ latest contribution to wine serves as a symbol of hope and a ray of light in the otherwise bleak and dreary setting that has been the norm of late, no thanks to the crisis that the entire country is still battling with even now. Angels have always represented purity and hope, and that seems to be the starting point of Sophia Georgopoulou’s design concept for its branding, labels, and packaging.  (more…)

While others were more vocal, some resorted to more unconventional ways to get their message across. TBWA Italy joined in this campaign and also launched the pop culture magazine First Floor Under by making use of CDs in creating portraits of not one, but seven, musicians who are legends in their own rights.
