It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. Well… some. But most people could not help but fall for these cutie canines, especially when photographed creatively. The internet certainly allowed the pet lovers in all of us to have another – and wider – venue to share our love for our dogs. It is no longer an uncommon sight to see dog owners post photos of their “best friends” in various sites online. There are some, however, who take this a step further. Some may say that this is taking “luxury jet” too far.

Is it? After all, no one could say that an airplane with a balcony is not innovative and outright ingenious. BAE Systems has taken private planes on a higher plane (no pun intended) with the introduction of their concept for the Avro Business Jet (ABJ) Explorer One. In collaboration with Design Q, a UK-based company that specializes in coming up with designs for luxury transport solutions, BAE Systems is now stressing on the “V” aspect of “VIP flying”, as evidenced by the ultra-posh and ultra-comfortable interiors of the Explorer.  (more…)
