Heineken Cube

How do you drink your beer? From a beer mug? Straight from the can? Or do you drink it cold, taking a swig right off the bottle? Ever pictured yourself taking a drink from a square bottle?

Well, if it were up to Heineken and Petit Romain, you would be doing that sometime in the future. The French industrial designer has just revealed his concept of a Heineken bottle. Foregoing the usual round bottles with long and narrow necks, this one has a square shape and is aptly named “Heineken Cube”. (more…)

Rila Monastery or The Monastery of Saint Ivan Rilski is the largest Eastern Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria.Situated in Rila mountain,near Kyustendil ,Bulgaria, this monastery owns an unique architecture with its outward 24 meters stone walls,which form a pentagon,the monastery has a vision of a fortress. Krieytory, marketers and community managers are increasingly working to create a tie detail between the virtual and real life. English designer Christopher McNicholl created “TweetingSeat”, an interactive public bench, which has its own Twitter-account. One camera is mounted in a bird’s eye, which adorns the bench, the second is placed in a tree in front. Thus, in the field of vision of webcams get people who sit on the bench and their pictures and videos are broadcast directly to twitter.

The Mazda MX-5 Superlite

From car-maker giant Mazda comes the MX-5 derived concept known as the Mazda “Superlite”. In collaboration with the Cologne, Germany-based design studio Motorcity Europe, the automotive manufacture from Hiroshima, Japan came out with this “celebratory” racer. The Apophis Flash Drive by Zana Design

In ancient Egyptian mythology, there is an evil demon that embodies pure darkness and chaos. It is named Apepi or, in Greek, Apophis. Now perhaps you’re wondering why a USB flash drive would be named after a demon god. Well, it’s not. This flash drive is actually named after the near-earth asteroid 99942 Apophis. With a width of 390 meters, this asteroid, which first manifested itself in December 2004, shows signs of colliding with Earth on April 13, 2036. Very Doomsday-ish, but there is no denying that it has an impact, literally and figuratively. As is the design of this unique USB flash drive.

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design.
