Who doesn’t love dogs?

Well… some. But most people could not help but fall for these cutie canines, especially when photographed creatively. The internet certainly allowed the pet lovers in all of us to have another – and wider – venue to share our love for our dogs. It is no longer an uncommon sight to see dog owners post photos of their “best friends” in various sites online. There are some, however, who take this a step further. Evening of 21 June in the center of modern design and innovation to life MOD Design Nokia has introduced the most recent  smartphone Nokia N9-based operating system MeeGo. The manufacturer has presented three possible colors: Black, blue and pink. Also, the new smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera module and GPS, supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. Other technical specifications: Processor OMAP3630 clocked at 1 GHz, graphics co-processor PowerVR SGX530, AMOLED-display diagonal of 3.9 inches with a resolution 854h480 points, RAM 1 GB memory and user data 16 or 64 GB.

Cultural spaces are not mere venues where various art forms or media are displayed. They are, in and of themselves, a backdrop that will highlight the subjects instead of swallowing them whole. Getting that balance is important when it comes to designing the logo or corporate identity for such a cultural space, and that was achieved by designer Sophia Georgopoulou for “Based in Athens”.  (more…)

What would make you spend more on a keyboard than you normally would? Simple: a superior one. Even simpler: one designed and created by Art. Lebedev. The Optimus Popularis keyboard, to be more precise.

Ever since word got out about the Russian design company coming out with “a million keyboards in one”, there were a lot of mixed reactions, especially when it seemed that the product would be worth more than $1000. Why, that is even more that what one would normally pay for a computer! However, there are a lot of reasons why the Optimus Popularis is going to be worth every cent of its $1000+ price tag.

Krieytory, marketers and community managers are increasingly working to create a tie detail between the virtual and real life. English designer Christopher McNicholl created “TweetingSeat”, an interactive public bench, which has its own Twitter-account. One camera is mounted in a bird’s eye, which adorns the bench, the second is placed in a tree in front. Thus, in the field of vision of webcams get people who sit on the bench and their pictures and videos are broadcast directly to twitter.
