At first glance, it does look funny, but the functionality of this floor lamp is anything but laughable.

Vladimir Tomilov is the creative mind behind the “Octopussy”, a floor lamp with ‘tentacles’ for legs and a ‘giant eye’ for light. You’d think it would serve only as an accent piece in any room but, upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that the Russian industrial designer definitely knows what he’s doing.  (more…)

Creator Tino Schaedler, who works under the pseudonym adNAU, created this concept electric vehicle, claiming to be a futuristic extrapolation of the mini-vans combi of Volkswagen. The concept called ECCO and conceived as a means of transportation and temporary housing.

Mazda showed the first pictures of the crossover CX-5. This is the first production car Mazda, which will be created under the concept of reducing fuel consumption Skyactiv, which includes the new gasoline and diesel engines, an upgraded transmission, as well as the design concept of Kodo. The vehicle will be equipped with a gasoline engine hlitrovym 2-and 2.2-liter turbodiesel and a capacity of 173 l.c. The auto will be equipped with a six-speed hand-operated transmission and front wheel drive. Mazda CX-5 will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and in the spring of 2012 will go on sale.

In order to remain competitive, an update is necessary, particularly when it comes to a business’ online presence, and that is exactly what Zafiriadis wishes to accomplish in coordinating with Vangel Tzo to come up with a web design for the jewellery house. Urban subcompact car Aston Martin Cygnet released a brand – new minor form of the Cygnet & Colette. Colette – a Parisian fashion house, who worked on the design of the car. At the moment it is only about 14 copies of these vehicles by hand. Colette colored body of this exclusive small car in silver color “Lightning Silver” and light blue, which were painted some of the designe of the exterior, for example the contour of the grille and body side mirrors. The car’s interior is made in the skin a pleasant light brown hue, blue stitched thread.

The Design Studio of Mercedes-Benz in Como of Italy, was opened in February 1998 and is specialized in developing new interior design concepts. The current Design Studio Manager is Michele Jauch Paganetti, who succeded Mr. Norber Weber in October 2006. The  Design Studio of Mercedes-Benz in Como, is the third Design Studio, after the studio in Yokohama of  Japan and Irvine in USA. All three  studios have the same objective in design.

FOKI are shoes, desinged by the designer Adika Titut Triyugo, with the function of cleaning the floor. Underneath each shoe, there are two rotary cleaners, to sweep up the dust and to kill bacteria.At the side ,there is also a LED display,which indicates the battery condition.
