The ABJ Explorer One

Some may say that this is taking “luxury jet” too far.

Is it? After all, no one could say that an airplane with a balcony is not innovative and outright ingenious. BAE Systems has taken private planes on a higher plane (no pun intended) with the introduction of their concept for the Avro Business Jet (ABJ) Explorer One. In collaboration with Design Q, a UK-based company that specializes in coming up with designs for luxury transport solutions, BAE Systems is now stressing on the “V” aspect of “VIP flying”, as evidenced by the ultra-posh and ultra-comfortable interiors of the Explorer.  (more…)

The “Octopussy” Floor Lamp

At first glance, it does look funny, but the functionality of this floor lamp is anything but laughable.

Vladimir Tomilov is the creative mind behind the “Octopussy”, a floor lamp with ‘tentacles’ for legs and a ‘giant eye’ for light. You’d think it would serve only as an accent piece in any room but, upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that the Russian industrial designer definitely knows what he’s doing.  (more…)

It seems that the cat is no longer on a hot tin roof. Instead, the cat now found its way inside a cage, reading a – believe it or not – book. What’s more, above the cat is a lamp. FOKI are shoes, desinged by the designer Adika Titut Triyugo, with the function of cleaning the floor. Underneath each shoe, there are two rotary cleaners, to sweep up the dust and to kill bacteria.At the side ,there is also a LED display,which indicates the battery condition.
