Well, various designers took that concept quite literally, coming up with bookends that represent both the function of said items, and the passion one finds in books. Here are a few hand-inspired bookends that will definitely give you more incentive to keep on reading. Now, shelves will no longer look boring and plain, what with these “handy” (no pun intended) and unique-looking bookends.

Cyclades Logo

The Cyclades, a group of Greek islands in the Aegean Sea, boasts a lot of local products that are worthy of note. To promote these products, there is a need for a logo that will represent them in a bigger market. Debuting at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the concept car C-X75 wowed and bowled over car lovers and enthusiasts. In honor of the British company’s 75th year, it was named C-X75, with C and X standing for Concept and Experimental, respectively. (more…)

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. This amazing luxury Mega Yacht named Eclipse, belongs to Roman Abramovich, a Russian billionaire. Eclipse, was constructed by Voss and Blohm in Hamburg of Germany. This yacht of 557-foot, is the world’s largest private yacht, 25-foot longer of the biggest yacht in Dubai, owened to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

“Aggelon Gi”, in Greek, means “Angels’ Land”. It also happens to be the name of the Winery Estate that has just recently launched a series of premium wines.

Aggelon Gi Estates’ latest contribution to wine serves as a symbol of hope and a ray of light in the otherwise bleak and dreary setting that has been the norm of late, no thanks to the crisis that the entire country is still battling with even now. Angels have always represented purity and hope, and that seems to be the starting point of Sophia Georgopoulou’s design concept for its branding, labels, and packaging.  (more…)

This 2013, Maserati is out on a mission: to sell 50,000 units all over the globe. To achieve that, it is releasing two new models, and one of them is the Maserati Ghibli Sedan. The Ghibli’s world debut took place during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, and from the looks of things, Maserati may just hit its goal.
