Heineken Cube

How do you drink your beer? From a beer mug? Straight from the can? Or do you drink it cold, taking a swig right off the bottle? Ever pictured yourself taking a drink from a square bottle?

Well, if it were up to Heineken and Petit Romain, you would be doing that sometime in the future. The French industrial designer has just revealed his concept of a Heineken bottle. Foregoing the usual round bottles with long and narrow necks, this one has a square shape and is aptly named “Heineken Cube”. (more…)

The Protohaus: Comfort in a Trailer Home

Living in comfort is one thing we all seek; living in comfort in a trailer sounds a bit far-fetched. At least, that used to be the case.

Presenting the “Protohaus”, the trailer home that pretty much buries all the “comfort trailer home” concepts over the years. With its timber frame and a trailer bed that claims to be able to bear up to 14,000 pounds (around 6,350 kgs) of solid weight, this “stick-built” house is tastefully elegant and structurally sound.

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. The public became available photos of the new version of the legendary 2012 Porsche 911. Premiere of the car in September at the Frankfurt International Motor Show 2011. The new Porsche 911 will get bigger and roomier, it has a long wheelbase, the instrument panel in the style of the latest model will be equipped with the Panamera and the 350-strong 3,4-liter engine with six cylinders for the Boxster S or 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine power of 400 horsepower and a 7-speed manual transmission. In addition, the different versions will be equipped with a manual transmission with double clutch.
