It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. The 2046 Parsonal Commuter in Paris Concept is the Saitama-born Japanese designer’s take on the electric car. It is compact, and it is sleek and sexy. Designed to have one or two uber-comfortable seats, these shared cars give the phrase “automatic driving” a lot more edge.

A sweeping font with clean lines.

The branding for Kalypso Hotel, a hotel in the island of Crete, was undertaken as a college project by Con Papanestis. He took inspiration from the location of the hotel when choosing the colors, strongly influenced by Crete’s azure sea and sky, and the simple, sweeping lines of the waves of the ocean.

Faces in Places has to look at the routine from a different angle and see the “face” of any subject.

Look closely – they are everywhere! All the objects around us have their faces: the float, a piece of unfinished pizza and slippers, the roof, a box for letters, even a trash can. A bit of observation, a little imagination – and now you can see that all things have their own face around. Very fun and entertaining project must capture the imagination and make you look more closely to what is on the desktop, in the kitchen or outdoors. (more…)
