Some may say that this is taking “luxury jet” too far.

Is it? After all, no one could say that an airplane with a balcony is not innovative and outright ingenious. BAE Systems has taken private planes on a higher plane (no pun intended) with the introduction of their concept for the Avro Business Jet (ABJ) Explorer One. In collaboration with Design Q, a UK-based company that specializes in coming up with designs for luxury transport solutions, BAE Systems is now stressing on the “V” aspect of “VIP flying”, as evidenced by the ultra-posh and ultra-comfortable interiors of the Explorer.  (more…)

The Protohaus: Comfort in a Trailer Home

Living in comfort is one thing we all seek; living in comfort in a trailer sounds a bit far-fetched. At least, that used to be the case.

Presenting the “Protohaus”, the trailer home that pretty much buries all the “comfort trailer home” concepts over the years. With its timber frame and a trailer bed that claims to be able to bear up to 14,000 pounds (around 6,350 kgs) of solid weight, this “stick-built” house is tastefully elegant and structurally sound.

The modern table, by designer Ding 3000, is inspired by Japanese puzzle games and named JOIN. The modern table have, 3 oak legs, a circular smoked glass, the top of measuring is 750mm in diameter and can be quickly disassembled. Enjoy with the table!

GM make the concept of a brand – new environmental transport EN-V. The car moves on electric lithium-ion batteries. And also it can be charged for about 25 miles. The peculiarity of this auto is that it has only two wheels.

The Booleanos Chest of Drawers by Joel Escalona

A chest of drawers and a centerpiece. Interior decorating doesn’t get any better than this.

Boolean logic would dictate sets of relationships where even unexpected bits and pieces could be combined and form a cohesive whole until such time that it actually makes sense. That is what Mexican designer Joel Escalona worked with when he designed a chest of drawers, which he then aptly named “Booleanos”. (more…)

Visual Identity for Metrio Coffee

Coming up with a product logo or something that would serve as a visual identity for food items, such as coffee and other beverages, could be quite tricky. You need to incorporate the element of recall and uniqueness, so that one look at the logo or image would immediately bring to mind the product name.

It seems that the cat is no longer on a hot tin roof. Instead, the cat now found its way inside a cage, reading a – believe it or not – book. What’s more, above the cat is a lamp. So picture yourself on a lazy evening, curled up with your favorite book beside your favorite lamp…. and reading alongside the cat. Quite a picture, eh? (more…)

Coco Choco brand logo

Coco Choco, a brand of handmade chocolate, produces two varieties: white chocolate and dark chocolate. When coming up with the brand packaging for both varieties, Lina Aggelopoulou made sure to integrate subtle distinctions in the design, so it would be easier to tell them apart. She was also responsible for the design of the logo.

Coffee machine from the future developed by the Swiss designer Carlo Borer. Saeco Etienne Louis looks both futuristic and elegant. Of course, the look is far from the usual forms of coffee machines.
