The "Fisherman" Package Design

The “Fisherman” Package Design

Let’s face it: many are still more likely to judge a book by its cover. More often than not, it is the packaging of a product that convinces us to put our money on it instead of its actual content.

It is for this reason that the makers of quality and highly utilitarian rubber boots “Fisherman” wanted to have it packaged in such a way that its outstanding features and functions are highlighted. GOOD! Agency responded to this call with a playful yet functional package design that could only be described in one word: “genius”.

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

The Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II

It has been a little over 77 years since the father-and-son tandem of Henri and Joseph Jonckheere built the original Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I. At the time, in 1935, it was truly an extraordinary piece of man-made engineering. Right now, this car can be viewed at the Petersen Museum in California, and since that time, Jonckheere has contented itself with specializing on bus and coach body design. They may have thought that there is no improving on perfection. (more…)

The "Octopussy" Floor Lamp

The “Octopussy” Floor Lamp

At first glance, it does look funny, but the functionality of this floor lamp is anything but laughable.

Vladimir Tomilov is the creative mind behind the “Octopussy”, a floor lamp with ‘tentacles’ for legs and a ‘giant eye’ for light. You’d think it would serve only as an accent piece in any room but, upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that the Russian industrial designer definitely knows what he’s doing.  (more…)

Aggelon Gi Winery Estate

Aggelon Gi Winery Estate
“Aggelon Gi”, in Greek, means “Angels’ Land”. It also happens to be the name of the Winery Estate that has just recently launched a series of premium wines.

Aggelon Gi Estates’ latest contribution to wine serves as a symbol of hope and a ray of light in the otherwise bleak and dreary setting that has been the norm of late, no thanks to the crisis that the entire country is still battling with even now. Angels have always represented purity and hope, and that seems to be the starting point of Sophia Georgopoulou’s design concept for its branding, labels, and packaging.  (more…)
