The House-Lamp by Lauren Daley

It is a house lamp, in more ways than one.

This lighting fixture is named for its function and its design. The House-Lamp is a lamp that can be used around the house and takes the form of a house. Confused yet? Don’t be. Lauren Daley, an architect from San Francisco, California, came up with this distinct collection of house lamps that can be easily assembled by hand. Made from high quality wood with a charming finish, this creative lamp will surely be a worthy addition to any room of your home.

Daley fashioned these house lamps using three house styles as an inspiration. For the base, one could choose either a stained solid wood, or a simple plywood. The “house” itself is made using brasswood. As for the lighting, the house itself will be lit, providing enough illumination to any room. This will be further reinforced by the block lamp or task lamp on one side of the stand, right beside the lit house.
