Who doesn’t love dogs?

Well… some. But most people could not help but fall for these cutie canines, especially when photographed creatively. The internet certainly allowed the pet lovers in all of us to have another – and wider – venue to share our love for our dogs. It is no longer an uncommon sight to see dog owners post photos of their “best friends” in various sites online. There are some, however, who take this a step further. Take Serena Hodson, for example. 

This New Zealand native is an award-winning photographer in her own right. However, she has derived more fulfillment from allowing her love for her darling dogs to show through the pictures she takes. The results are whimsical and quirky pet photographs that subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) convey hints of hilarity, wistfulness, and humor, all combined to make you feel all fuzzy and all the more in love with dogs. Let’s write a bit of a story, and it’s entitled, “A Day In The Life Of Rocco, Ralph, and Simon”.

Good morning, Sunshine! Err, I mean… Simon! Don’t feel like waking up yet?

Rocco’s already busy, so everybody better get a move on!

Ralph has to do the customary morning breath check on Simon.

What’s for breakfast? Did anybody say “hot dog”? Not Ralph!

Just a loaf of bread? Rocco ain’t happy!

“NOW, you’re talkin’!” Rocco is happy!

Time for a bath… wouldn’t want my hair to get wet!

But wait… Ralph wants the bubbles all over his body!

Meanwhile, Simon starts packing stuff in his suitcase.

If you thought it’s already full, sit on it. Nice move, Simon!

Now it’s time for Rocco and Ralph to leave, but not without throwing one last look at…

…Simon, who makes one request before he’s left home alone for the day.

But it’s going to be a long wait, because Ralph is going to be busy all day….

…while at night, he has to don the cape and save the world! So tough being Super Ralph…
