Christiane Vleugels’ Hyper-Realistic Oil Paintings

Hyper Realism depicted in Christiane Vleugels’ Oil Paintings
Art imitates life, they say. If we’re talking about the art of Christiane Vleugel, no statement could be truer. She has managed to capture reality and brought it to vivid life in her canvases, making use of rich colors and hues that are, well, for lack of a better word, life-like. Have a taste of her exquisite works of art in the following pictures.
About the artist
Christiane Vleugels is an artist from Belgium who discovered art at an early age. She was still 12 years old when she got her first taste of formal education in art, particularly in drawing and sculpting, in an academy of fine arts. She was 17 when she got into the SISA (Stedelijk Instituut voor Sierkunsten en Ambachten) in Antwerp. During her three years of study, she focused primarily on Decor, nature and publicity drawings. Her skills with oils and life drawing became honed when she spent two years of study at the Royal Academy of Antwerp.

About her art
Vivid, vibrant, and lifelike. That’s what she accomplishes with oil on canvas. If you need further proof, you need only look at her works, as follows:

“The Source” shows her background on nature drawing.

Meet the “Shy Girl”

Every little girl, no matter how shy, dreams of riding on “The Carousel”.

Poignancy with “Forgotten Tunes”

The “Spanish Rose” takes a deep bow.

As the young girl turns into a lady, she starts to “Hope”.

And she fearlessly breaks out, as in the “Blue Lagune”.

The young lady on the verge of womanhood in “Pink”.

And she starts to feel things for others. “J’adore”.

There is that constant search for identity in “La Boheme”.

The woman in full bloom, but still as innocent as a “White Peony”.

She shows her true colors in “Royal Feathers”.

Her beauty is immortal, as if “Frozen in Time”.

All that hard work deserves a major “Kudos”.

One of her signature works, the “Bellator”.

Her gift with colors and oils is apparent in “Hatshepshut”.
