One of Daisy Balloon’s – Balloon Dresses

Be fashion forward with a frock made from balloons. Yes, you read that right – BALLOONS.

Integrating wearability to haute couture is no mean feat, particularly if you’re making use of materials that are unheard of when it comes to clothes. And yet the design duo of Daisy Balloon came up with these ingenious and gorgeous dress designs, which are sure to draw the eyes to every woman wearing one of them as she steps into a room.

These elaborate dresses were created by “knitting” together balloons of specific sizes. And it’s not just any normal knitting, either. It is a customized process that Daisy Balloon makes use of in order to “knit together” these balloons and come up with fashionable pieces with intricate designs.

Daisy Balloon is a Japanese tandem composed of Rie Hosokai – an artist whose chosen medium is balloons – and art director Takashi Kawada, who is also a graphic designer. Together, they came up with these fashion concepts that are definitely head-turning.

As mentioned earlier, wearability of the dresses or frocks is also important. Fortunately, the designs make that possible. Choose which style is more to your taste: a tube dress, a halter dress, or a scallop neck with puffy shoulders. You can even choose a color other than black!
